New York and Menomonie,Wisconsin, May 7, 1998 - DBD International the international award winning consortium of marketing professionals lead by David Brier, dominated the recent Art Directors Club of New Jersey (ADCNJ) awards. Taking their "OneVoice Image Management" to new heights, DBD was recognized by ADCNJ, a group comprised of art directors, graphic designers, illustrators, photographers, and other creative professionals, collecting 29 awards in all. "In the 35 years of these awards, DBD International stands out as a single firm receiving such a large quantity of accolades, accepting 17 of this years 180 medals," said Paula Pocher, President of the Art Director's Club of New Jersey, adding, "They have entered over the years but this was the best DBD showing that we have ever seen." ADCNJ accepted each of the 29 submissions and awarded DBD with 17 medals and 12 certificates of merit. The Guide to Scitex Prepress, produced by DBD for Bell Press, lead the awards, collecting a Gold medal for Illustration Series: Promotional, Bronze medals for Technical Literature, Self-Promotion, Direct Mail Piece 4-color, Booklet over 12 pages 4-color, and their 2 posters entered in Illustration: Promotional. Additional recognition was received for Cover Design, Computer Generated Illustration, and Posters: Promotional. According to Scott Harvin, President and Owner of Bell Press, "The design awards received for this pre-press guide are a real bonus. I couldn't ask for better PR and positioning not only for design but also for printing." He continued, "I asked for 'eye candy' and David Brier and his team at DBD really delivered." Although the Scitex Guide lead the way, DBD was also recognized for excellence in the calendar categories, receiving medals for Computer Generated Illustration, Illustration Series, Overall Calendars, and certificates of merit for Direct Mail Campaign, Promotional Poster Series, and Labels. DBD's Book of Joe received additional medals for 4-color Direct Mail, Calendar, Illustration, and Computer Generated Illustration, and certificates for Cover Design, 4-color Brochure, Holiday Card, and Self-Promotion.
