Crown a
Record Year for DBD International
Menomonie, WI - 1998 represents a year of unprecedented recognition-61
industry awards in total-for DBD International, a brand development
and image management firm.
The last two awards of 1998 came from the Annual Mobius Advertising
Awards for DBD's work for Digital Minds, a computer reseller,
and Tower Realty Trust, a New York City-based real estate investment
trust. Each was awarded a second place "Certificate of Outstanding
Creativity." The Mobius Awards, founded in 1971, is an international
annual competition honoring outstanding advertising for television,
radio, print and package design. According to the sponsors, this
level of recognition is "...a significant honor, as out
of the total number of entries received each year, less than
10
percent are awarded certificates of 'Outstanding Creativity'."
From January through December 1998, the following organizations
awarded DBD for their design, branding and marketing work: Graphis
Design (two awards), Graphis Logo (one award), How Magazine (one
award), 1998 INDY Award Competition (three awards including two
1st place winners), the Mobius Advertising Awards (two 2nd place
awards), Neenah Papers (one gold award), the New Jersey Art Directors
Club (twenty-nine awards including 17 medals and 12 certificates
of recognition), Printing Industries of America (two 2nd place
awards), Publish Magazine (Best of Category award for newsletters),
Step-by-Step Magazine (one award), the Society of llustrators
(one award), and the West Wisconsin Ad Club (eighteen awards
including Best of Show).
While print work represents the majority of the awards DBD received,
the firm also garnered awards in two other mediums new to its
range of services, web design and radio, each achieving first
place recognition.David Brier, President and Creative Director
of DBD, states, "We are very fortunate to have such a high
calibre of clientele to work with. This is also the year we introduced
our OneVoice Image Management program, which evidently
is working very well for our clients."
To celebrate this year's level of work and recognition, DBD
produced the newly released DBD Review, an oversized 12-page
case study with in-depth interviews of five different clients
from various industries, showing how they achieved marketing
